Our aim is to assess and educate you and your child!

Your Child’s First Visit to the Dentist

It is strongly recommended that a child be seen by a dentist from 6 months to a year after his or her first tooth comes in.

At our dental clinic and practice our dentists are trained to immediately identify any potential issues with the growth and development of the jaw and soft palate.

Baby teeth are more porous and susceptible to decay than adult teeth, so early intervention is critical to help ensure those tiny teeth stay healthy.

Prepare Your Child’s First Dental Visit

It’s never too soon to start introducing children to tooth brushing and oral health. The best time to get started is before your child’s first dental visit.  Children love to learn about their bodies, and love to smile, touch, and explore new things. From their early age start teaching them about tongue and teeth. The more comfortable they are with their mouth and teeth, the easier your child’s first dental visit will be.

Special Needs Children

Our clinic has made special arrangements to accommodate special needs children with staff that is specifically trained to handle such children. We take special care in treating children who have special needs and encourage parents to be thorough when detailing about child’s medical history so that we can be extra careful where need be.

Our Methodology

  • At first we let the children know what we will do. We ask essential questions that keep your children ensured that our tools, and procedure won’t hurt them in any way.
  • Next, we demonstrate child how we will continue by utilizing models and real instruments we use during the entire procedure.
  • We will clarify everything that we are doing to decrease child’s nervousness. Younger children will probably cry or appear to be angry with a basic tooth cleaning. Try not to let this stress you. It just implies that they are not yet comfortable with their new part as a patient. They will get used to it with the repeated visits.
